1 John 3:1 reads, “See what kind of love the Father has given to us, that we should be called children of God; and so we are. The reason why the world does not know us is that it did not know Him.”
This is a reminder of God’s great love for us, a love so great that we are called children of God. Sometimes we may wonder if we truly deserve to be called children of God, but as mothers and children of God, we often overlook and take things for granted. We may skip our daily Bible reading or devotions or even skip praying about certain things. Yet God has shown us great love despite our shortcomings, giving us the right to be called children of God Almighty.
Even when the world does not recognize us because they do not recognize Him, God’s love still keeps us going. It is a privilege to be God’s children, to be part of His world, and to be called His children.
Father, we pray that You bless our children with love and patience. May we show love, patience, and tolerance towards others in this world. In Jesus’ name, we pray, AMEN.
