Deuteronomy 28:13
”If you listen to these commands of the LORD your God that I am giving you today, and if you carefully obey them, the LORD will make you the head and not the tail, and you will always be on top and never at the bottom.”
Head, not Tail; Above, not Beneath – Obedience to the Lord brings blessings. That’s a powerful promise in Deuteronomy 28:13. This was a covenant promise given to Moses by God and a gift to God’s children who choose to listen to his commands and carefully obey them.
Joseph was raised to the top by The Lord despite all the setbacks he faced. He was made the head. Daniel was chosen over all the other young men to be taken to the Kings’ palace and he excelled despite all the challenges he faced – He was made the head. Despite being a stammerer, Moses was chosen by God to lead his people out of Israel and bondage – He was made the head. David was just a boy but he killed Goliath – He was made the head
May our children’s obedience in the Lord be complete so that the promise of being the head will be fulfilled in their lives. May they continually rise to the top wherever they are placed in Jesus name. Amen
