Proverbs 16:3 says, “Commit your work to the Lord and your plans will be established.”
To commit means to entrust or pledge something to a certain course or policy. In other words, we should give everything we do completely to God, trusting that He will perfect our plans.
For our plans to be established, we need to trust completely in God and offer our plans to Him. Only then can we plan to succeed, and it is only by God’s grace that we can achieve and become established.
As mothers, we have big and great plans for our children. We know how to take good care of their future plans. As Christian mothers, we have the added advantage of committing them and their plans to God. We can be assured that all our planning and wishes will be established to the glory of God. Romans 8:28 reminds us that in all things, God works for the good of those who love Him and are called according to His purpose.
We pray that all our plans will be committed to God, and that He will work through our children so that all our plans for them will be established to His praise and glory. In Jesus’ name, we pray. Amen.
