Character God's Promises

A Mind Filled With Vision

Habakkuk 2:3
”This vision is for a future time. It describes the end, and it will be fulfilled. If it seems slow in coming, wait patiently, for it will surely take place. It will not be delayed.”

A vision is the bridge between the present and the future. Without vision, the people perish (Proverbs 29:18). Those without vision often spend their lives taking the path of the least resistance because they are trying to avoid discomfort or challenges. A person with vision is able to persevere the current pain knowing that there is a better future ahead.

So many of us go through life not understanding the purpose of the trials we face because we haven’t asked God. We spend day after day walking a crooked path, with a mindset that every obstacle is a problem and needs to be avoided. Sometimes, even when we have the vision, we are drowned in doubt and fear of whether the vision will see through.

As a mum, always on your knees praying, and you are very certain that God has given you a vision of the salvation of your child, or about taking a bold step in that business, or about a new home or ministry or even concerning healing for someone you love. Perhaps you have been waiting for days, months or years and it seems like it won’t come to pass. God says do not give up because He is not a man that he should lie (Numbers 23:19), if He has spoken it, He will do it (Isaiah 14:24) and He will bring about the fulfilment of that vision in His timing.
