Protection

Basking in God’s Divine Cover

Psalm 41:2
”The LORD will protect and preserve him; He will bless him in the land and refuse to surrender him to the will of his foes.”

God’s divine cover is what actually keeps our children safe and not our power or intelligence. God knows everything, he sees what we cannot see, he knows what we may never know. So no matter how we try to protect our children, it is ultimately in God’s hands to keep them safe.

We know from God’s word that divine protection belongs to us (Psalm 41:2), but there are some conditions we must make sure we keep to activate the protection in our lives. This condition is specified in Psalm 91 – He who abides in the secret place of the Most High shall remain under the shadow of the Almighty. If we are to enjoy God’s cover, we must abide in Him. To abide means to dwell in. Not an occasionally coming in and going out, but a continual dwelling under God’s shadow.

That is why we must pray daily for our children to continually abide in God. The devil knows they are the pillars God is raising to make a change and so will do all in his power seeking to destroy. Today we pray that the promise of God’s cover over our children will be their portion and that they will never venture out of God’s purpose for them in Jesus name. Amen
