God's Promises Protection

Covenant Keeping God

Isaiah 61:8-9

“…I will make an everlasting covenant with them. Their offspring shall be known among the nations, and their descendants in the midst of the peoples; all who see them shall acknowledge them as an offspring of the Lord who has blessed them”.

Our God is a covenant-keeping God, and whatever He promises surely comes to pass. But those who enjoy His covenant are those who know Him and are willing to do His will. Psalm 37:28 states, “For the Lord loves justice and will not forsake His saints. They are preserved forever, but the children of the wicked shall be cut off.”

He has promised to bless the offspring of the people who trust in Him and know Him. Even their descendants will be blessed, and the people will see and know that you serve a living God. He has always honored His word and will honor it again by protecting you and your offspring. Proverbs 3:6 states, “In all your ways acknowledge Him and He will make straight your paths.”

The question you should ask yourself is how close are you to God and how does He know you, in order for Him to have a covenant with you, your offspring, and descendants?

Father, I pray that You grant my children the benefit of Your covenant. Give them the grace to remain faithful to You, protect and direct their footsteps so that they will not go astray. In Jesus’ Name. Amen.
