Luke 2:52 – And Jesus continued to advance in wisdom and stature, and in favor with God and men.
As our children grow up, they are establishing and trying to figure out their place in this world. It involves creating relationships, making decisions, etc.
Advancing in wisdom and in the Spirit is about moving into a deeper and more authentic relationship with God. It involves leaving our comfort zone, letting go of what is safe and familiar, and moving to a bigger place, where our Lord Jesus is calling us to effect change.
We pray that our children will not only grow physically but that they will increase in wisdom. May our children never focus on comparison or competition, but we pray that they will understand that God’s favor remains with them no matter where they find themselves.
