Romans 8:37
”No, despite all these things, overwhelming victory is ours through Christ, who loved us..”
More Than Conquerors Through Christ – We are more than conquerors through him who loved us (Romans 8:37). To conquer is to be victorious over an enemy or adversary. But the emphasis of being more than a conqueror means we not only achieve victory but we are overwhelmingly victorious.
The bible says Gods plan for his children are of good and not of evil, to bring us to an expected end (Jeremiah 29:11). However our adversary, Satan also roars around like a roaring lion seeking whom to destroy (1 Peter 5:8). He sends all kinds of life-defeating, joy-stealing attacks to threaten the well being and faith of God’s children.
In the midst of it all, God says we are more than conquerors through Him and Him alone. This means that we face the trials of life with certainty that we are not going through it alone, and that we have a mighty father who fights for us. It means that our children know that they can approach the darkest valleys with confidence, knowing that nothing can happen to them that our Heavenly Father has not permitted.
